General Terms and Conditions
Payment & Deposit

The date of the event is considered “booked” upon receipt of total value of the quotation. Wedding cake requires £150 deposit to secure the date.

Wedding cakes require 60 days prior to the event for the final payment. If the Client fails to make payments on time, Bel Sourire Cake will cease work, the order will be cancelled and no refund will be given.

Preferred methods of payment are online payment or Bank Transfer. Cash is acceptable if customers pay in shop.
Postponement & Cancellation

The Client must notify Bel Sourire Cake if there is a change in the date of the event or a complete cancellation.

If the baker has availability for the postponed date, and the postponement occurs after 7 days of the event, the Client will be charged a fee, depends on how much work has been done for the cake which cannot be used for the postponement date (except the wedding cake).

The wedding cakes require minimum of 60 days of notification for the postponement, depends on the availability of the baker. Otherwise the penalty fee would be charged.

If a cancellation occurs 7 days prior to the date of the event, 50% of the full payment will be refunded. If a cancellation occurs after 7 days prior to the event, 0% will be refunded (except the wedding cake).

For the wedding cakes, if a cancellation occurs 60 days prior to the date of the event, all money will be refunded minus the non-refundable deposit. If a cancellation occurs after 60 days prior to the event, 0% will be refunded.
Changes to Order

Any changes must be submitted 7 days in advance. Wedding cakes require 60 days in advance.

Design of the Cake

Bel Sourire Cake will follow the Client’s requests closely to create the cake desired.

Bel Sourire Cake cannot duplicate an exact copy of another cake artist’s work, but we will try our best to make a design the customer loves.
Serving Amount & Sizes

Serving size estimations are not guaranteed to be exact.

Bel Sourire Cake is not responsible for a shortage of cake if the pieces are cut too large.
Allergy & Dietary Warnings

We offer vegans cakes, however, we do not have separate equipment for the allergy free options, and all our cakes are baked and decorated in an environment where nuts are present. Unless specified otherwise all our cakes may contain or cross contaminated with NUTS, MILK, EGGS, WHEAT, SOYA, GLUTEN, LUPIN, SEASAME SEEDS & SULPHUR DIOXIDE. Food allergy information is available on request. We cannot be responsible for any incidents involving personal food allergies.

Natural dyes, artificial dyes, artificial flavourings, sugar, artificial sweeteners, artificial colour and other allergens not listed.

The Client is responsible for pointing out to guests potential allergy hazards.
Delivery and Set Up

A delivery charge of £1 per mile will be applied for distances exceeding 20 miles from the Bel Sourire Cake premises (LS23) for the celebration cakes. Wedding cake will be charged £1 per mile for the distance from Bel Sourire Cake premises (LS23).

Bel Sourire Cake is not responsible for tardiness if the venue is changed within 48 hours of the event.

The change of the venue may occur extra delivery fee depends on the distance.

The Client may pick up the cake. The Client assumes liability once it passes into the Client’s possession.

The Client is responsible for providing a suitable environment for the cake (away from heat, vibrations, strong wind, crowd, suitable surface, suitable outdoor setting).

In the event of refusal to accept the cake at the agreed delivery time, the cake will be returned to the shop. The customer shall be responsible for arranging self-collection or may opt to incur an additional delivery fee for redelivery. It is important to acknowledge that under these circumstances, the quality of the cake may be adversely affected, and Bel Sourire Cake shall not be liable for any resulting compromise in quality.
Photographs

Bel Sourire Cake reserves the right to use all photographs of the cake for advertising purposes.
Complaints
In the rare instance that you have a concern regarding your cake, kindly notify our staff promptly for an immediate resolution. If the issue cannot be resolved at that time, please submit a written complaint within 14 days, allowing us to thoroughly investigate and address your concerns. It is a condition of our agreement that we cannot consider complaints submitted after this 14-day period, as it hinders our ability to investigate any relevant details. Should your written complaint not lead to a resolution, we propose a meeting to discuss and attempt to resolve the matter. In the event that the meeting proves unsuccessful, any legal claim you pursue will be limited to the total cost of the cake associated with the specific complaint.
Liability

Bel Sourire Cake is not responsible for bodily injury, property or consequential damage, which may result from services.

Bel Sourire Cake is not responsible for any damage to the cake or shortage of cake caused by anyone NOT employed by Big Smile Cake.

Bel Sourire Cake will not deliver a cake if payments have not been paid in full.

Bel Sourire Cake is not responsible for any delay or inability to deliver including but not limited to strikes, accidents, acts of God, national or local disasters, damage to premises, inclement weather, infectious diseases, transportation issues, illness, death, or any other circumstance beyond Bel Sourire Cake’s control.

If Bel Sourire Cake has completed the cake but it can’t be delivered due to uncontrollable circumstances, the Client will be refunded 50% of the total cost.

If Client picks up the cake, Bel Sourire Cake no longer assumes any responsibility for damage caused to it.
